PhD in Law from the Federal University of Paraná (UFPR).
Postdoctoral studies at the Federal University of Bahia (UFBA) and at the Max Planck Institute in Luxembourg. He was Visiting Researcher at Harvard Law School. He was a winner of the Cappelletti Book Prize in 2019.
He is an appellate judge (disembargoer) of the Federal Regional Court of the 6th Region, in Brazil.
